N2NCU Privacy Policy

Nation-2-Nation Christian University “N2NCU”, and the parent organization N2N Ministries, recognize that your privacy is very important to you, and we believe that you have a right to control your personal information. N2NCU acknowledges that whenever an individual provides information to us, it is an act of trust. As a result, N2NCU takes your individual privacy very seriously. We have made this document as thorough as we reasonably can in a good-faith effort to be transparent and open with our users.

This privacy policy applies to n2ncu.org, as well as our entire online school at online.n2ncu.org. Together, these properties will hereafter be referred to as the “Site”. Unless you otherwise give N2NCU explicit consent to act otherwise, this policy will govern how your information will be handled and safeguarded by N2NCU.

By using the Site, you are giving us your express consent to use and maintain your personal information in the manner described by this policy. This includes the release of such information to the staff of N2NCU, as well as third parties, in the manner described below.

The collection, use, and storage of your personal information

N2NCU collects two different types of information. The first type which we collect is voluntarily submitted by users, typically through registration to our online school, but also through other voluntary means like shipping and billing addresses or information.

The secondary type of information which we collect is non-personal in nature, and is provided to us by your computer as it accesses the Site. This information includes technical information such as your IP address, or your browser type. This non-personal information is used by us to improve our services, as well as improve our Site and its layout and content.

Any information which you provide to N2NCU, or which is obtained through your usage of the Site may be used by N2NCU and its parent organization. N2NCU will NEVER sell, rent or lease your information to commercial entities. We may provide your information to third parties with whom we have a relationship with to offer you products and services which we believe may be of interest to you.

N2NCU may offer message boards, chat rooms, online discussion boards, or other similar discussion forums through our various sites, including online.n2ncu.org. Please be aware that anything which you post, and any information which you divulge in these arenas is deemed public information and is not protected or considered private, and we can not guarantee who may or may not view it. In these instances the information posted by the user is visible to others and may be read, collected, and stored by them. The user is fully responsible for the personal information that they choose to share in these instances, and N2NCU is not obligated to provide any protection from, or remediation of damages which may be incurred by the sharing of this information.

Cookies and other technologies

The Site, online services, our online school, advertisements, and email messages may use “cookies” and other web technologies such as pixel tags and web beacons. A cookie is a small file stored on a user’s computer, which is created and then subsequently read by a web site server. A cookie contains personal information such as a user identification code, a record of a user’s customized preferences, or a record of which pages that the user has visited. These various technologies are used to help us better understand how our users use the Site, which parts of the Site they have visited, and they help us to measure the effectiveness of various features and functions of the site, the effectiveness of our advertisements, and how we rank in web-searches.

We treat the information collected by cookies and other technologies as non-personal information. However, to the extent that IP addresses or similar identifiers are considered personal information by local law, we also treat these identifiers as personal information.

N2NCU also uses cookies and other technologies to remember personal information when you use the Site, the online school, and other applications. Our goal in these cases is simply to make your experience on the Site more personal, and more convenient.

You can reset your browsers to either refuse all cookies, or to notify you when you are receiving a cookie to allow you to decide whether or not to accept it. In some instances, this may restrict certain Site functionality.

As is true of most websites, we may gather some information and store it in log files. This information may or may not include IP addresses, browser type, browser display size, Internet Service Provider, referring and exit pages, operating system, and date and timestamp data.

We use this information to better understand how our site is being used, to analyze trends and user behavior, and to gather general demographic information. N2NCU may use this information in our marketing and advertising services.

Pixel tags enable us to send email messages in a format which users and customers can easily read, while telling us whether or not an email has been opened. We may use this information to reduce or clear addresses from our mailing lists.

Links to third party sites

As a service to our users, N2NCU may provide links to sites which are neither owned or controlled by N2NCU or N2N Ministries. These third party sites are not bound by this N2NCU privacy policy and may or may not have their own policies concerning your privacy and the privacy of your data. These sites may or may not collect your personal data, and may or may not place cookies on your computer. While N2NCU would never intentionally share a link to a third party site or service which we knew would misuse your information, we are not responsible nor are we liable for the actions, privacy policies, or information collection practices of these sites or any damages resulting therefrom.

Third party service providers

N2NCU shares personal information with third party companies who provide services such as information processing, managing customer data, providing customer service, conducting customer satisfaction or research surveys, as well as Shipping and Billing services. These companies which service N2NCU are also fully obligated to protect your information.

Other Parties

It may be necessary, by force of law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from governmental authorities within or outside your country of residence, for N2NCU to disclose your personal information to meet its own legal obligations. N2NCU may also disclose information about you if we deem it necessary to protect our mission, our reputation, our users, staff, or volunteers, or if we have reasonable suspicion of illegal activity.

In the event of a transfer, merger, or sale of the site and/or N2N Ministries, we may transfer any and all personal information to the relevant third party.

Protection of Personal Information

N2NCU takes reasonable precautions, including administrative, technical, and physical measures to safeguard your personal information against theft and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access or disclosure.

Children

No information may be submitted to the Site by users 13 years old and younger. It is difficult to identify under-aged users and N2NCU will not be responsible for anyone misrepresenting their age as over 13 years when in fact they are not.

Updates or Amendments to this or other N2NCU policies

N2NCU reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to update, change, amend, or remove portions or all of any policy, including this privacy policy, at any time, without notification. It is the user’s responsibility to be aware of the content of this policy, and to periodically check it for changes. The user’s continued use of the Site will mean that you accept and agree with the changes made.
